Ocknell Park registered for 11 is a large spacious house currently providing care & support to an all male group with learning disabilities, mental health & associated complex needs. It is situated in the heart of the New Forest in Hampshire, within 5 acres of landscaped gardens & woodlands just 5 miles drive away from Southampton City Centre.
The home offers individual bedrooms, two large lounge / dining area, conservatory, utility area and a large kitchen. The spacious large gardens with its own vegetable gardens are ideal for walking and relaxation. There are also a variety of buildings offering a range of on-site day services.
Service users can access on site day services and use the home transport for further recreational leisure and educational college activities in the community.
Philosophy
We offer a service tailored to the complex needs of the individual enabling the service user to integrate safely within the local community therefore achieving full citizenship. A supportive and safe environment encourages development of the individual promoting self determination, empowering the individual to take responsibility for their lives and their behaviours.
We support the service user to meet individual goals and aspirations with dignity upholding the rights of the individual. All service users are encouraged to take an active part in the running of the home, formulation of their specific care plans and risk assessments.
Service users are encouraged in the promotion and achievement of independence with specific tailored plans to enable them to develop and practice key skills. Service users are supported by staff at each stage of this process.
Service users access on site day services and local colleges for recreational / occupational needs.
We offer when needed support and advice from our in house Psychology and Psychiatry Teams.
