Parkwood Lodge is a large detached home, located in the bustling town of Waterlooville, offering residential placements for seven adults with a mental disorder and associated complex needs.

The attractive home offers seven single rooms – all with en-suite facilities - a large lounge/dining area, a large kitchen and a utility area. To the rear of the house is a large garden with a patio and barbeque area.

The home is located a short distance from Waterlooville, where there is a range of shops and leisure amenities. Further afield are the towns of Havant and Southampton, which offer a wider choice of leisure and educational choices.

Philosophy

We offer a service tailored to the complex needs of the individual - enabling the resident to integrate safely within the local community, therefore achieving full citizenship. A supportive and safe environment encourages development of the individual promoting self determination and empowering the individual to take responsibility for their lives/behaviours.

We support the resident to meet individual goals and aspirations with dignity - upholding the rights of the individual. All service users are encouraged to take an active part in the running of the home and the formulation of their specific care plans and risk assessments.

Residents are encouraged in the promotion and achievement of independence, with specific tailored plans to enable them to develop and practice key skills. Residents are supported by staff at each stage of this process, but are empowered to make decisions for themselves.

Residents access local colleges for recreational and occupational needs.
