Twynhams registered for 7 is a home offering residential placements for adults with learning disabilities and associated complex needs.
The home is situated less than 1 mile away from New Milton town centre, and approx 10 miles away from the town centres of both Christchurch and nearby Bournemouth.
The home offers seven individual rooms with en-suite facilities, large kitchen, a large lounge / dining area onto a spacious conservatory. This leads out to a garden and barbeque area, activity workshop and a vegetable garden.
Service users within the home are encouraged to access the local colleges and work placements. The use of public transport is encouraged but the home has its own vehicle to access leisure, recreational and educational activities in the community.
Philosophy
We offer a service tailored to the complex needs of the individual enabling the service user to integrate safely within the local community therefore achieving full citizenship. A supportive and safe environment encourages development of the individual promoting self determination and empowering the individual to take responsibility for their lives and their behaviours.
We support the service user to meet individual goals and aspirations with dignity upholding the rights of the individual. All service users are encouraged to take an active part in the running of the home.
We offer when needed support and advice from our in house Psychology and Psychiatry Teams.
