Woodlands registered for 6 is a large detached home in the village of Bartley in the New Forest offering residential placements to female adults with learning disabilities and associated mental health needs. It provides 24 hour support from a trained & experienced staff team, who provide a clear and structured approach. An individualised day care programme is in place offering a variety of social, occupational and leisure activities.
The spacious home offers individual rooms, all with en suite facilities. It has a large lounge, leading onto a conservatory that opens onto a safe and secure garden. The home has its own vehicles which are used to transport service users to access the community and nearby Southampton on a regular basis for both leisure, recreational & educational activities.
Woodlands offer a friendly and relaxed atmosphere, where residents can live together as a large family. The ownership and safe keeping of its pets is supported and also encourages and increases the responsibilities of each person living in the home.
Philosophy
We offer a continuing care service tailored to the complex needs of the individual enabling the service user to integrate safely within the local community therefore achieving full citizenship. A supportive and safe environment is provided for the residents to ensure they live as fulfilling a life as possible.
We support the resident to meet individual goals and aspirations with dignity upholding the rights of the individual. Service users are supported in all aspects of personal care, and within community and day care activities. Service users are encouraged to develop new skills to enhance their quality of life.
We offer, when needed support and advice from our in house Psychology and Psychiatry teams.
