Fritham is registered for 10, is a large detached corner property for Adults with mental disorder and associated complex needs within a 5 minute walking distance of Shirley a busy suburb just 2 miles away from Southampton City centre. The home offers individual single rooms with full en suite facilities, a large communal lounge, quiet room, training kitchen, it also has its own home transport for educational and recreational trips and activities within the community.
Philosophy
We offer a service tailored to the complex mental health needs of the individual enabling the resident to integrate safely within the local community therefore achieving full citizenship. A supportive and safe environment encourages development of the individual promoting self determination and empowering the individual to take responsibility for their lives and their behaviours.
We support the resident to meet individual goals and aspirations with dignity upholding the rights of the individual. All service users are encouraged to take an active part in the running of the home, formulation of their specific care plans and risk assessments.
Residents are supported to achieve greater levels of independence, with staff working closely with the resident to encourage them to develop and practice key skills. Residents access local services for their educational and recreational needs.
We offer when needed support and advice from our in house Psychology and Psychiatry Teams.
