Report on Learning Disability Today Exhibition
Date: Wed 22nd November 2006 Venue: Islington Business Design Centre A very vibrant, busy event with over 120 stands from a wide variety of organisations and sponsors, combined with a full day of seminars and client participation, dancing, music and workshops. Ivan Lewis, M.P. for Care, gave the opening address. Residential organisations were fewer than last year but included Care Tech, Mencap, Turning Point, Brookdale, CMG, Care Principles and Consensus…...and of course the Choice Care Group’s double stand attended by myself, Tracy Griffin , Rob Anscomb from Choice, Frances Gillies from Truecare and Mark Luce with Trudy his deputy from Orchard End. All were involved on the stand meeting and talking to a wide variety of people interested in the group and attracted to the chocolate biscuits and sweet on offer!! With the scanner printout we had over 500 contacts showing a list of individuals that were interested in employment. Some very useful, quality leads to be followed up by Tracy Griffin . The display boards exhibited on the day were very impressive and eye catching and will be used again at numerous events and meetings during 2007. P Gold 4 Dec 2006 |
