Drugs PolicyMedicines are obtained from the local chemist and kept within a locked cabinet within the home. Service users who are capable of self administration of medicines should be allowed to do so in line with the risk taking policy. The key to the medicines cabinet will be held by the shift leader. All care staff can administer medicines after instruction and if approved by the home's manager. |
