Recruitment

Recruitment of the care staff is the responsibility of each home's manager in consultation with the proprietor. Prior to recruiting a responsible person we will ensure that the skill mix is reviewed to take account of current needs.

Staffing

In line with the criteria for registration, Truecare Group employs appropriate staff to meet the needs of the current clientele.

Staff participate in all aspects of care including cooking, cleaning and other domestic duties as necessary and agreed.

Arrangements for 24 hour cover, involving waking and sleeping night staff as appropriate is the responsibility of the home manager.

All staff work a flexible rota to provide such cover.

Staff Training

New members of staff receive induction training, on site, on the principles and procedures of working within the home.

In order to meet the service objectives, training needs are continually assessed and appropriate training provided which includes encouraging individual staff to obtain NVQ in relevant subjects.

Confidentiality

All staff must regard the information to which they have access to as highly confidential - breaking confidentiality will be considered as gross misconduct and could lead to dismissal.

Code of Practice

All staff will be obliged to adhere to a Code of Practice which is available for inspection on request.
